Madhuri
Dixit is an award winning Bollywood
actress and one of the biggest stars
of the Indian film industry.
Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s,
she dominated Hindi cinema as a
leading actress, appearing in many
hit films. She is considered to be
an icon of the Bollywood film
industry.
Madhuri
Dixit made her acting debut in
Abodh in 1984. After a few minor
and supporting roles the 1988
movie Tezaab is the one that
shot her to fame. Maduri then
went on to star in the following
hit films: Ram Lakhan, Parinda,
Tridev, Kishen Kanhaiya, Dil,
Saajan, Beta, Khalnayak, the
Bollywood blockbuster Hum Aapke
Hain Kaun! and Raja.
1996 was not a good year for her but she returned in 1997 to receive her 4th Filmfare Best Actress award for the movie Dil To Pagal Hai. Dixit continued to have many hits and won many awards throughout her career. Some of the awards that she has won are:
